Mr. Hisato Nunota, Representative of ‘Earth Flyers’,
an agricultural producers’ cooperative corporation
Akita
(Growing soybeans etc. by rotation)

Fifteen of us form a cooperative corporation, and commercially grow rice in 32 ha and soybeans by rotation in 126ha, together with various other crops such as rice for animal feed, cucumbers, and yamanoimo yams (Japanese yams). We also grow cattle for meat.
When we began to grow soybeans on a massive scale, we started to look for a good machine and we got to know about Kawabe’s machines last year. We then went to see their demonstration and decided to purchase two of them. It is SN3-3S-C, which breaks up 3 lines of subsoil while tilling and listing for 3 lines at the same time.
We ran a light tillage at the end of July, and to our amazement, the new machines were far quicker than our previous rotary cultivators. Above all, our crop yields increased dramatically. In the first year, the increase was by 50% per 10a. Of course we have been trying various other new ideas such as adding micro-organisms to our own fertilizer to improve the quality.
Kawabe’s machines are easy to use and priced reasonably; it boosts the speed of work if used with a high-powered tractor. I am very satisfied with my machines.
